Site Development Feasibility Studies

Evaluation of lot size, zoning constraints, visual impacts, soils, topography, utilities, and regulatory constraints to determine development potential.

Landscape Architecture

Full service Project Management from Base Mapping and Site Planning through Construction Management and Maintenance Plan Development. DBLA will coordinate the work of some team members such as surveyors, civil engineers, horticultural and wetland consultants, and contractors. We work in collaboration with other team members such as building architects, attorneys, and municipal permitting agencies.

Master Planning

Long term land planning for phased projects to align the scope of design and budgets with build-out schedules. Illustrative master plan drawings aid in graphically depicting a progress-level design, schedule of construction, and specific areas of a property in hierarchical format.

Site Planning

Schematic site plans to specify the location of buildings, parking areas, roadways and walkways, grading and drainage plans, site lighting, and planting design. Scaled layout of specific site elements, water features, gathering spaces, and program issues with notes of precise materials selected.

Project Permitting

DBLA has a significant track record of steering successful projects through local and state authorizing agencies, including Conservation Commissions, Historic District Commissions, Building Departments, and obtaining variances from the Massachusetts Architectural Access Board.

Construction Management

Coordination of installation of landscape improvements, acting as the Owner's Representative. Coordination and observation of the construction labor, materials, services, and other resources required to complete the project early, under budget, and above quality, wherever possible.
